Brief Description
We are seeking a motivated individual with previous office or administrative experience who is ready to step into management. The Trainee Supervisor will support the delivery of housing services while developing leadership, supervision, and people-management skills, with structured learning to progress into a Team Leader role.
Qualifications Required
Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Housing, Business Administration, or Management
or a Bachelor Degree in Business Management

Driving Licence is essential

Key Responsibilities:
Operational Support
Assist with day-to-day housing operations in line with organisational policies and procedures
Support the coordination of property management activities, including repairs, maintenance, and voids
Monitor service performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and housing legislation
Team Supervision (Developmental)
Support frontline housing officers and operational staff to deliver high-quality services
Assist with scheduling, task allocation, and workload management
Participate in team meetings and contribute to performance discussions
Shadow supervisors and managers to develop leadership and decision-making skills
Tenant & Stakeholder Engagement
Promote positive tenant relationships and respond to enquiries and complaints professionally
Support tenancy sustainment and community engagement initiatives
Work collaboratively with contractors, external agencies, and community partners
Compliance & Administration
Maintain accurate records in line with data protection and regulatory requirements
Support audits, inspections, and reporting requirements
Adhere to safeguarding procedures and equality, diversity, and inclusion standards
Learning & Development
Take part in a structured training programme covering supervision, housing legislation, customer service, and compliance
Work towards relevant qualifications in housing or management
Receive mentoring and regular performance reviews to support career progression

This role operates on a rota basis, including weekends, with shifts between 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. and 3 p.m. – 11 p.m. The position combines full-time work with structured training, so you will need to balance day-to-day responsibilities with learning and assessments.
