Brief Description

Join one of York's most established and trusted local media companies and kick-start your career in marketing and sales. As a Sales Apprentice, you'll gain hands-on experience promoting our magazine brands, managing social media, creating sales and marketing campaigns and helping local businesses grow through effective sales and marketing.

Vacancy Detail

Your duties will include:
Identifying and generating new business opportunities through research, networking and outbound prospecting.
Contacting prospective customers by telephone, email and face-to-face to introduce our advertising and marketing services.
Building and developing strong relationships with new and existing business customers.
Meeting with clients to understand their business objectives and recommend suitable advertising and marketing solutions.
Preparing quotations, proposals and sales presentations.
Following up enquiries and warm leads to convert opportunities into sales.
Managing a sales pipeline using CRM systems and keeping accurate customer records.
Working towards individual and team sales targets and key performance indicators.
Identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional products and services.
Negotiating sales and confidently handling customer objections.
Providing excellent after-sales support to maintain long-term customer relationships.
Working closely with the marketing team to support lead generation campaigns and promotional activities.
Assisting with social media and digital marketing activity to help generate new customer enquiries and strengthen the Your Local Link brand.
Monitoring market trends, competitor activity and customer feedback to identify new commercial opportunities.
