Brief Description

A small company in Erdington who design and manufacturers electronic filters for the industrial/military/aerospace markets. We are currently looking for an apprentice to fulfil the role of builder / assembler within production department.

Qualifications Required

Ideally English and Mathematics GCSE at grade A-C or Level 2 equivalent however all shortlisted applicants will be invited to the training centre to participate in a recruitment event where Literacy and Numeracy will be assessed.

Vacancy Detail

You will be an integral part of a small team in the Assembly / Production department ensuring the product is produced to the highest of standards, this is a great position for someone who wants to be part of a great organisation..

Main duties:
Picking the correct stock to carry out jobs.
Booking stock In & Out on the company stock files
Soldering, crimping and wiring components together (small electronic components)
Testing and checking quality of work
Ensuring Health & Safety is being kept to the highest of standards.

Other Information

Within the training, you will learn the knowledge, skills, behaviours and attitudes that are required for this qualification. This will be met and assessed by a range of classroom taught modules, on and off-the-job training, and within the workplace you will demonstrate your competence through performance of tasks.

Functional Skills English and maths Level 2 may also be undertaken if required, for learners to have the opportunity to improve Literacy and Numeracy
